Agemaspark and Laser Additive Solutions collaborate at leading engineering exhibition
Agemaspark and Laser Additive Solutions to exhibit at Engineering and Technology Solutions Exhibition on the Advanced Manufacturing Park in Rotherham on Wednesday 24th May 2023. The Doncaster based businesses are currently collaborating on a joint Innovate UK and National Aerospace Technology Exploitation Programme (NATEP) funded collaborative R&D project ‘Sharp-LASE’.
Agemaspark who have invested in 3D metal printing technology are currently working on projects including plastic mould tools which are reducing cycle times by 20%, are reducing costs and waste in an industry going through big legislative changes to ban single use plastics.
Other work they have carried out includes an award-winning project in collaboration with Advanced Plastics for the automotive sector that required a new method of rapid cooling technology in the moulding process to be able to cool the insert evenly because of the complex profile of the product.
Laser Additive Solutions have recently invested in powder bed fusion technology that uses laser to form a 3D part which will complement their existing laser welding, cladding, cutting and hardening technology. The new addition to their service offering will provide their current and new customers with an even greater level of laser-based manufacturing and repair solutions.
