Two new apprentices have recently joined the team at Agemaspark ready to meet the new challenges the manufacturing industry as a whole will face in a post-Brexit world.
Despite the challenges faced due to the ongoing pandemic, we’re delighted to be able to recruit 2 new apprentices to grow our team. Providing a fresh perspective, the apprentices will be joining the team as Apprentice Toolmakers completing a 3 year AMRC engineering technician course within their role.
With Alex, the new apprentice, coming directly from school, he will first be attending a 32 week course at the AMRC (Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre) in Sheffield, learning the basics of manufacturing and ultimately, giving him the knowledge to kick start his career within the manufacturing sector.
Jay, the second new apprentice will be starting with us straight away, with 1 year already under his belt and the 32 week training course already completed he will be jumping straight into the precision work carried out here at Agemaspark. After being made redundant from his previous role due to the company emigrating to continental Europe, Jay will be an asset to the team with industry knowledge already gained.
As a forward-thinking, research-focused manufacturer we’re committed to working with the next generation of manufacturing operatives to ensure we remain ahead of the game, with a focus on research, development and our environmental impact.
Agemaspark have always been committed to supporting and providing apprenticeship placements. With such a wealth of opportunity within the company & sector, we want to ensure we continue to provide a stepping stone into the manufacturing industry,
‘We love bringing apprentices into our business, kickstarting their manufacturing careers, whilst they are bringing fresh ideas and growing with us.” – Paul, MD of Agemaspark.
