Agemaspark to present IMechE conformal cooling and metal additive manufacturing event

Agemaspark Managing Director, Paul Stockhill, has been invited to present to the Yorkshire branch of Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) on Conformal Cooling and Metal Additive Manufacturing. The webinar will be held on Thursday 20th May 2021 at 6.00pm with the webinar being open from 5.45pm.

Agemaspark to present IMechE conformal cooling and metal additive manufacturing event 1Following a recent successful government funded R&D project to develop new techniques to improve plastic injection mould tools, Agemaspark has invested in laser metal additive manufacturing facilities which will enable mould tool cores and cavities to be 3D printed with conformal cooling channels that follow the contours of the component, thereby delivering faster mould cycle times and improving quality by up to 20%.

Paul will use current projects to demonstrate how metal additive manufacturing and conformal cooling works, and the technical and environmental advantages that this technology can deliver to the plastic moulding industry.

The event is open to members and non-members of IMechE, for further details and to register please contact: Nicky Baxter (Regional Admin Officer), T: 0113 3910537, E: [email protected] or click here to book your place.  The MS Teams Webinar link will be distributed on registration.
