{"id":1715,"date":"2022-09-26T13:54:21","date_gmt":"2022-09-26T12:54:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/agemaspark.com\/?p=1715"},"modified":"2022-09-26T13:56:46","modified_gmt":"2022-09-26T12:56:46","slug":"doncaster-engineering-boss-becomes-freeman-of-the-company-of-cutlers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/agemaspark.com\/news\/article\/doncaster-engineering-boss-becomes-freeman-of-the-company-of-cutlers\/","title":{"rendered":"Doncaster Engineering boss becomes Freeman of the Company of Cutlers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Paul Stockhill, managing director at Doncaster based precision engineering firm, Agemaspark, has become one of the latest Freeman of The Company of Cutlers of Hallamshire.<\/p>\n<p>He was presented with his Certificate of Freedom by the Master Cutler, Mr James Tear, at an event at The Cutlers\u2019 Hall.<\/p>\n<p>Paul said: \u201cI am honoured to become a Freeman of The Company of Cutlers and it was wonderful to meet with the Master Cutler and other new Freemen to find out more about the history of this great organisation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am looking forward to being more involved in events and activities across the region and getting to know the other distinguished members of The Company of Cutlers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Cutlers\u2019 Company was established by a parliamentary Act of Incorporation in 1624 and for almost four hundred years has sought to maintain the standards and quality of Sheffield manufactured cutlery and steel products and to promote the name of Sheffield.<\/p>\n<p>As manufacturing in the region has changed over the centuries, so the Company reflects this by highlighting the innovation in the region as well as upholding Sheffield\u2019s proud heritage.<\/p>\n<p>A Freeman must be a manufacturer of metal goods, within the Sheffield Region.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Paul Stockhill, managing director at Doncaster based precision engineering firm, Agemaspark, has become one of the latest Freeman of The Company of Cutlers of Hallamshire.
