Agemaspark continues partnership with Doncaster utc
10th August 2021
As one of the Founding Members Agemaspark are continuing their support of Doncaster utc into the 2021/2022 academic year. MD, Paul Stockhill is the Vice Chair of the utc and is keen to encourage more young people into the exciting world of engineering.
Agemaspark will again this year be supporting the Year 9 design and manufacture a steering wheel project with around 120 students this year over a number of visits into the school to talk to the students and demonstrate use of Solid Works software on the project. The first of these meetings will be next month in the college on Monday 13th September.
On Wednesday 29th September the Doncaster utc will be holding their parents and students open day for the Year 9 and Year 12 2022 intake, Agemaspark will again be one of the Employer Partners featured with members of their team on the company stand available to answer students questions and explain what is involved in an apprenticeship and future career in engineering.
10 out of 16 of Agemaspark’s workforce are either current or former apprentices that have trained with the company so are in a great position to be able to share with the students their first hand experience. Both workshop managers, Paul Preskey and Sam Buxton trained as apprentices with the company before progressing into their current roles.
